Considering the fact that the travel industry demand highly skilled, committed and motivated professionals to present extremely high standards of customer and technical support, leaders in the cruise and travel industry made the decision to start a college.Southeastern College (S.E.C.) was started by the ideas of these travel industry leader in 1988 as Cruise Career Training Institute (C.C.T.I.).In 1996, C.C.T.I. broadened its travel program offerings to meet the requirements of the community and its students.
In 1997, C.C.T.I. extra broadened its scope of career education to add programs in the business, computer, and medical fields. To more efficiently indicate its objective and viewpoint, C.C.T.I. replaced its name to Keiser Career Institute and the main campus was located in Lake Worth, Florida.
In 2002, to better serve the demands of its students and the surrounding communities, Keiser Career Institute changed its name to Keiser Career College and was approved to offer Associate Degree programs.In May of 2012, Keiser Career College changed it's name to Southeastern College.
The objective of Southeastern college is to provide quality career education. Its curriculum is designed for entry-level students with no prior background in the subject matter. Its programs pay attention to the specialized skills and knowledge suitable for today's marketplace by delivering courses that apply to skill performance and career management development.
